Lake View Garden Bar is not only one of the most exclusive-looking bars in the area, it also offers unrivalled views of Lake Windermere set within the backdrop of the stunning mountains. While you’re in the area, why not hop on a Lake Cruise or hire your own motor boat as both are accessible just across the road. Be sure to book ahead though. They often get booked up early in peak season, especially in the summer holidays.

2. Boaters Bar

New to the scene and conveniently tucked away from the main street means that Boaters Bar is often one of the less-crowded bars in the area. Bowness-on-Windermere often gets packed out with tourists and locals alike, especially in the peak of summer. So on a warm day, finding a quieter bar is often impossible.

Set back from the hustle and bustle, Boaters Bar offers a quaint outdoor area with views overlooking the luxury boats as they rest at the dock. It’s dog friendly and they offer one of the largest beer and gin selections around.

Throughout August, they’re taking part it the Government’s “Eat Out to Help Out” scheme so you can enjoy 50% off her tasty pizzas Monday-Wednesday.

3. Baha & The Fizzy Tarte

If, like us, you love nothing more than a refreshing cocktail on a warm summers evening, then The Fizzy Tarte cocktail bar is the place for you. Situated in the heart of Bowness-on-Windermere, they offer all the classics from Mojitos to Cosmo’s but their signature cocktail – “The Fizzy Tarté” – is the real tastebud tantaliser. Each of their cocktails is smoked, infused or garnished to offer intensive flavours while the bar offers a quirky atmosphere and highly skilled and passionate mixologists.

For authentic Pacific Street food, head next door to Baha, where you can enjoy live music performances throughout the week by pianists, singers, saxophonists and more. Combining Korean flavours cooked BBQ-style over open flames, you can guarantee the food here is like nothing you’ve tasted before – expect burgers and dirty fries with a unique twist. The third floor gets a bit more lively and offers a club night vibe where you can dance the night away on the weekend.
